Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy!

Finally!  The warmth has returned to Clearwater Beach and we plan to take advantage of every minute of it!  Here we are about to take off on our speed racers to conquer the Pinellas Bike Trail.  Please note the men have 'special' seats.  Julie and I are hiding our seats - and will be for the rest of this entry.
Our fearless leader takes off without really knowing who is behind him.  The riding lineup usually was Larry, Pat, Julie and Bill in the cleanup position.  Thank goodness Bill would yell out when someone wanted to pass us ( happened all to often) as it was all I could do to keep the bike going. At least that's what I thought he was yelling.

Bill and Julie toasting another beautiful day.  What does it take to upset these people??!!!??

Ah yes, we are going the right way!

Bill has taken on the task of renaming the trail.....

The length of the bike ride keeps growing - it was 10 miles at first measure, then it was 25 miles, needless to say we had to sit and think it over  - a few drinks into the evening and I think it was finally decided - 25 miles it is!

More than once I felt like we were being circled by vultures.  Obviously they knew something about us we did not.
Bringing comfort to the advanced  bike rider are these signs indicating  what location to give 911 when you keel over from a heart attach - OH  Florida!  But we were survivors and besides we had lunch plans.

Our lovely lunch after the bike ride - our reward-at Sea Sea Riders. Who thought of that name anyway?

The Gecko who joined us for lunch.

With plenty of energy left and no one pushing a walker, we went to Captain Bligh's miniature golf.  There we gave ourselves new pirate names - Longboat Larry( is this compensating?), Pirate Pat (Wow, total lack of imagination), Jolly Julie( A bit obvious!) and Barnackle Bill (Again, compensating?)

Bill and Larry assessing their balls -a recurring topic!

Someone has to win and ....Bill won!
