BKD REUNION DAY!!! The sequal!

Last year the retired men of BKD  met in Sarasota for lunch.  It was a day that lasted almost a year and still is referenced with a whisper. We blame the waiter for over serving us. This year,  armed with escape plans and diversion tactics, Larry and I  once again traveled to Sarasota and the infamous Columbia restaurant to meet with Chuck and Judy Wells, Phil and Sue Brummel, and Bill and Julie Dickerson.  The plan is simple - only discuss the weather and the children.  Huzzah! Two hours later we are all still friends.
 Mission Accomplished!
It's great to know that friendships can last a lifetime.  Left to right - Phil Brummel, Bill Dickerson, Chuck Wells, Larry Fogel.

And amazingly, these two people are still friends - although we are still trying to determine 'Who's the boss?'

Julie and Bill Dickerson - If you want to stay in love, these are the people you need to keep in your life.

In a park in Sarasota, there is this larger than life statue of the famous V J kiss from the end of World War II.  When I see it, I think of my parents and what they endured, how precious each day was to them after the war and how they only focused on the important things in life after that.

Sunset tonight is especially dear to me!
