The Dickerson's migrate to Florida!

Bill and Julie Dickerson arrive today expecting to enjoy the warm weather in Tampa but are met with our open arms and the blast of a cold front moving through the area.  Temps dropped to the 30s but not their optimism! It's always a beautiful day when we are with them. Above is the picture of them experiencing their first Florida sunset this year - winter coats and all.

The change in weather brought in strong winds from the Gulf and out came the wind surfers.  From the window in the condo, we could watch them battle the waves.

If you can't enjoy the weather outside...... Bill and Julie know the solution. 4 people - 3 bottles of wine.  WORKS FOR ME!

CHIHULY WITH JUIHULY AND BILHULY!

Earlier on Sunday, we visited the Chihuli Collection in St. Petersburg. This time we bought passes for the collection as well as the glass blowing workshop that demonstrates how its all done. Something that seems so easy in theory, is actually very dangerous and requires strength and concentration. In about an hour we were able to see an artist take the melted glass and create a beautiful bowl.

Here we are about to watch the artist at work.  Larry is taking the picture and also talking about all that he can remember from our docent tour last year.  The woman in front of us turns around and says "You must be an artist.  Do you blow a lot  of glass?" ............ And so I leave it to each one of us to answer that in your own way!!!

No matter where we are in the area, when it's time for sunset, we head back for the glory of celebrating the end of the day together.

Ah... the glow of sunset with friends.
