T-shirt little shop of horrors!

Carol and Bill Henderson arrived late last night.  They had the amazing accordian car that held 2 shopping carts and a hotel luggage carrier full of stuff.  I have seen the magician pull a silk scarf out of a hat , and pull; and pull - you get the picture - that's the way it seemed as we watched the Hendersons unload!

Today, we went to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, which was a place Carol had visited as a child. I am not sure it has changed much since then. It is a rescue center for marine life that would not other wise survive.  We saw dolphins, one without a tail that has a prosthetic tail now, blind sea turtles that need to be fed by hand, otters, eels, sting rays and sharks.  The facility was a pretty much here it is kind of place that still made you feel that they took their mission seriously.

This shark coming out of the floor reminds me of my own vacations as a child when we were promised we would see a shark!
Since it was Valentine's Day, I was looking for pairs everywhere.  This is a pair of otters cuddled up together.

These nurse sharks like to swim together.
And  the spider crabs, nuf said!
In Kansas, we paint cows and place them around the city.  In Florida, they obviously choose the turtle.

Here it is!!!  What trip is not complete without the obligatory trip to the T-shirt shop. ( This is not for the younger blog reader)  I had to take a few photos since I was certainly not going to buy anything.

You can have your pick of obnoxious sayings put anywhere you want.
There are not word for this...... but still I had to include it.
This was my favorite t-shirt saying.  It sorta sums up the Fogel brotherhood.
My favorite photo of the sunset tonight.  We always plan to be back at the beach for this event.  Life only gives you so many.
We ended the day with a fantastic dinner with Carol and Bill.  Why am I the only one holding a glass of wine?

  1. Great work as always, Mombo. Looks like a fun day. Cannot believe that sunset pic. Looks better than any postcard I have seen.
